Ammonia Hydrogen Fuel

Analysis of Ammonia and Hydrogen Fuels
In recent years, the choice of energy, ammonia and hydrogen fuels are highly anticipated, and the advantages and disadvantages of each are studied in detail.

Hydrogen fuels have high and clean energy, only raw water is burned, and there is little pollution. It is excellent at the end of environmental protection. Its reaction is extremely fast and energy supply is efficient, so it has a wide period of use in various fields, such as travel by car and boat, and the power is quite strong. However, its production, storage and transportation problems are also solved. The method of production relies more on fossil energy, which not only costs capital and money, but also pollutes the environment; if the method of green hydrogen is used, the cost is high and it is difficult to popularize. As for storage and transportation, hydrogen is light and scattered, requiring high pressure and low temperature, expensive equipment, and strict control for safety.

Ammonia fuel is easier to store and transport. Under normal pressure, it can be liquefied at a slightly lower temperature, without the need for high-pressure facilities, and the cost is slightly lower. And ammonia has a high hydrogen content, which can store more hydrogen per unit volume than hydrogen fuel, so it has great potential for long-distance hydrogen transportation and large-scale energy storage. However, the application of ammonia also has obstacles. It burns or produces nitrogen oxides, polluting the air; and its combustion characteristics are different, requiring special combustion devices, and the technical requirements are quite high.

Today, scientific researchers are all wise to these two fuels. On the one hand, seeking innovation in hydrogen production, seeking cost reduction, efficiency increase, and exploring safe and convenient storage and transportation methods; on the other hand, researching the optimization of ammonia combustion, reducing its pollution harm, and improving its combustion properties. In time, if both problems are solved, it will surely be a change in the energy pattern, leading a new path of clean and efficient, and contributing to the sustainable development of mankind.
