Ammonia-water absorption refrigeration system

Today there is an ammonia-water absorption refrigeration system, which is an important way of refrigeration. This system uses ammonia-water as the working fluid pair and has a unique operating principle.

Ammonia has good refrigeration characteristics, low boiling point, and is easy to absorb heat and vaporize in the evaporator, thus achieving cooling effect. Water acts as an absorber and has a strong absorption capacity for ammonia.

In the generator, by heating a concentrated solution containing ammonia, ammonia escapes from the solution to form high temperature and high pressure ammonia. This ammonia is condensed into liquid ammonia and enters the throttle valve. After throttling, the pressure of liquid ammonia decreases and the temperature also drops, entering the evaporator. In the evaporator, the liquid ammonia absorbs the surrounding heat and quickly vaporizes to achieve the purpose of refrigeration.

The low-pressure ammonia produced in the evaporator is absorbed by the dilute ammonia solution in the absorber to form a concentrated ammonia solution again. The concentrated ammonia solution is pumped to the generator by the solution, and the cycle continues to achieve refrigeration efficiency.

Ammonia-water absorption refrigeration system, driven by heat energy, is suitable for occasions with abundant waste heat or waste heat. It can effectively save electricity and is widely used in industrial production, large buildings and other refrigeration fields, providing reliable refrigeration protection for many scenarios.
