Looking at the changes in the state of matter, many substances have different melting and boiling points due to the existence of hydrogen bonds. The characteristics of water are evidence of this. Water is composed of hydrogen and oxygen. After hydrogen and oxygen are combined, due to hydrogen bonds, water molecules attract each other, making water a liquid state at room temperature, and the melting and boiling point is higher than that of similar simple hydrides.
