The shape of water molecules depicted in Guanfu Figure 5 shows the wonders of its polarity and hydrogen bonding. For water, its molecular structure is unique, and hydrogen and oxygen are connected by covalent bonds. Oxygen atoms are highly electronegative, and the electron cloud is biased towards them. The hydrogen-causing end is positively charged, and the oxygen end is negatively charged. This is the reason for the polarity of water molecules.

Every time water molecules are seen, hydrogen bonds are formed in an orderly manner. Hydrogen atoms are positively charged and attract lone pairs of electrons from oxygen atoms in adjacent water molecules, thus forming hydrogen bonds. In this way, water molecules are connected to each other by hydrogen bonds, either in a chain or in a network state.

The properties of this polarity and hydrogen bond have a significant impact on the physical and chemical properties of water. Due to the existence of hydrogen bonds, the boiling point and melting point of water are higher than those of similar compounds, and they have a hot topic capacity, which can buffer temperature changes.
