Difference Between Hydrogen And Hydroxide

The difference between hydrogen and hydroxide
Hydrogen is one of the elements, composed of a single atom, and often exists in the world as a gas. It is light and active. When burned, it will emit a light blue flame. In various chemical reactions, it is often used as a source of electricity to form new compounds.

And hydroxide is a group of atoms covalently combined with hydrogen and oxygen, with a unit negative charge. In aqueous solutions, it often echoes hydrogen ions. If the solution contains more hydroxides, it is alkaline. It is also an important participant in chemical reactions, or combines with metal ions to form hydroxide precipitation, or neutralizes with hydrogen ions in acids to dissolve water and salts.

Hydrogen is a simple substance, with flammability, reduction and other characteristics; hydroxide is dependent on compounds or solutions, and is related to acid and alkali reactions with many ions. The two are essentially different, one is a simple state of an element, the other is a charged atomic group; different characteristics and different uses. Hydrogen is often the choice of energy or used in the synthesis of chemical products; hydroxide plays a crucial role in analytical chemistry, chemical production and regulation of pH.
