How To Rinse Ears With Hydrogen Peroxide

The method of washing the ears with hydrogen peroxide
The accumulation of earwax, or discomfort, can be solved by washing the ears with hydrogen peroxide. The method is as follows:

Prepare an appropriate amount of hydrogen peroxide solution first, usually at a concentration of 3%. And a clean dropper and cotton ball should be prepared.

The patient lies on his side with the ear facing up to be washed. Slowly drop an appropriate amount of hydrogen peroxide solution into the ear in a dropper, paying attention to the slow movement to avoid hurting the ear. The amount of dripping can be about full of the ear canal. At this time, the patient will feel a slight bubble sound in the ear, which is caused by the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide, which is a normal phenomenon.

Keep lying on your side for a while, about 5 to 10 minutes, so that the hydrogen peroxide can fully function and dissolve the earwax. During this period, you can gently press the ear screen, which is the cartilage in front of the ear canal mouth, to help the solution better contact the earwax.

After that, get up slowly to allow the liquid in the ear to flow out naturally. You can use a cotton ball to gently wipe the ear canal mouth to absorb the liquid and earwax that flow out, but do not wipe deep into the ear canal to avoid damage to the ear canal or eardrum.

If one washing of the ears does not achieve the desired effect, you can wait for the ear to dry, and repeat the above steps at intervals of 1 to 2 days, but the number of times should not be too much, so as not to irritate the ear. During the ear washing process, if you feel ear pain, itching, or other discomfort, you should stop immediately and seek medical attention.
