Hydrogen Fuel Price Per Kg

On the Consideration of the Price Per Kilogram of Hydrogen Fuel
In today's world, hydrogen fuel is a new way of energy, and its price per kilogram is related to industrial development and waste, and people's livelihood is dull, which cannot be ignored.

The method of making hydrogen fuel has various paths. Electrolyzed water requires huge power consumption. If electricity comes from thermal power, although the cost may be controllable, the original intention of cleaning hydrogen fuel will be lost; if wind power and photoelectric surplus power are taken, although they are in line with the meaning of clean energy, the instability of wind power and photoelectricity will make electrolyzed water difficult to scale, and the cost will remain high. There is also fossil fuel reforming hydrogen production, although the process is mature, it is associated with carbon emissions, and the raw materials are limited. The cost is also affected by the fluctuation of raw material prices.

Furthermore, the storage and transportation of hydrogen fuel is a big problem. Gaseous hydrogen storage requires high-pressure vessels, expensive equipment, and high safety risks; liquid hydrogen storage, although high density, but the liquefaction process energy consumption is high, resulting in rising costs. As for pipeline hydrogen transportation, the initial construction cost is extremely high, and a large pipeline network is required, which cannot be solved in a short time. All kinds of storage and transportation difficulties are the burden of the price per kilogram of hydrogen fuel.

The construction of hydrogen refueling facilities is also the key. The construction of hydrogen refueling stations, equipment procurement, site rental, and personnel operation and maintenance are all sources of cost. And the number of hydrogen refueling stations is scarce, making it difficult to achieve scale effects, which also makes it difficult to reduce the cost of hydrogen fuel refueling.

Looking at the market demand, if hydrogen fuel is widely used, such as in the transportation field, the number of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles has surged, and the demand has risen, it may lead to large-scale production, which will reduce costs and bring prices down.

Overall, in order to reduce the price of hydrogen fuel per kilogram, it is necessary to coordinate efforts in the production, storage and transportation, and injection links, overcome technical difficulties, and expand the industrial scale. Only by making hydrogen fuel affordable to the people can it become a pillar in the energy field and benefit all people.
