Hydrogen Peroxide Dosage for Dog Inducing Vomiting
Dosage of hydrogen peroxide in dogs to induce vomiting
When a dog eats a poison by mistake and wants to make it vomit, it is often considered to use hydrogen peroxide. However, the dose of hydrogen peroxide should not be careless.
Generally speaking, for small dogs, about three milliliters of hydrogen peroxide can be used per kilogram of body weight. For medium-sized dogs, according to their weight, about 2.5 milliliters of hydrogen peroxide should be used per kilogram. As for large dogs, the dose of hydrogen peroxide per kilogram of body weight is about two milliliters.
When using, dilute the hydrogen peroxide with an appropriate amount of water and slowly pour it into the dog's mouth. Don't be too hasty. After irrigation, it is recommended to gently rub the dog's abdomen to help it react.
However, it must be clear that not all poisons can be used to induce vomiting. If a dog accidentally eats strong acids, alkalis, etc., use dioxy to induce vomiting, which will cause secondary damage to the esophagus and gastrointestinal tract.
