Hydrogen Peroxide Dose for Dogs per Pound
Dosage of hydrogen peroxide per pound of body weight in dogs
If a dog eats a poison by mistake, or needs to be induced to vomit, hydrogen peroxide may help. However, the dose must be accurate, and improper dosage will harm the dog.
Usually, the amount of hydrogen peroxide per pound of body weight in dogs is about one teaspoon (5 ml). However, a single dose should not exceed three teaspoons (15 ml). When using, it is advisable to use hydrogen peroxide at a concentration of 3%. High concentrations are corrosive and can hurt the dog's mouth, throat and stomach.
The method of applying the medicine can be used with a syringe or dropper, and slowly inject it on the side of the dog's mouth to prevent it from choking and coughing.
