Hydrogen Peroxide for BV Usage
The use of hydrogen peroxide for bacterial vaginitis (BV) is crucial. Its usage is as follows:
First, the hydrogen peroxide needs to be properly diluted. Generally speaking, medical hydrogen peroxide with a concentration of about 3% can be selected, diluted in a certain proportion with an appropriate amount of warm water to ensure an appropriate concentration, which not only ensures the bactericidal effect, but also avoids excessive irritation to the vaginal mucosa.
When using, be sure to ensure the cleanliness of the vulva and hands. Wash the vulva with mild water first, and then gently dry it with a clean towel. Next, prepare a clean vaginal rinser and slowly inject the diluted hydrogen peroxide solution into the rinser.
Take a suitable position, usually a supine position, with your legs bent slightly apart. Gently insert the head of the washer into the vagina at an appropriate depth, and slowly push the piston of the washer to make the solution evenly rinse all parts of the vagina to remove abnormal flora and secretions in the vagina, thereby improving the vaginal environment. The rinsing process should be gentle to avoid damage to the vaginal mucosa.
After the rinsing is completed, take a short rest and wait for the excess liquid in the vagina to flow out. After that, a clean sanitary pad can be used, but it should not be used for a long time, so as not to affect the vaginal ventilation. It should be noted that hydrogen peroxide rinsing the vagina should follow the doctor's advice. Do not increase the frequency of use or change the concentration at will, so as not to destroy the normal acid-base balance and microecological environment of the vagina and aggravate the condition. If any discomfort occurs during use, such as pain, increased itching, etc., you should stop using it immediately and seek medical attention promptly.
