Hydrogen Peroxide New Piercings

Do not use hydrogen peroxide for new ear piercings

Recently, when new ear piercings are pierced, people often doubt whether it can be treated with hydrogen peroxide. I am clear today, absolutely not available.

Although hydrogen peroxide has strong oxidative properties and can kill common bacteria, it is not a good choice for new ear piercings. Newly pierced ear piercings have damaged skin and need to be repaired quietly. When hydrogen peroxide touches the damaged area, it quickly decomposes and releases oxygen. This violent reaction, which seems clean, actually stimulates new and delicate tissues, exacerbates pain, and delays wound healing and increases the risk of infection.

Newly pierced ears should be gently rinsed with mild normal saline, and then carefully wiped with less irritating disinfectants such as iodophor to keep the surroundings of the ear holes clean and dry, so as to help the ear holes heal smoothly and avoid all future troubles. Remember to take care of the newly pierced ears, be gentle and prudent, and never use hydrogen peroxide to avoid mistakes.
