Hydrogen Sulphide Test
The test of sulfide hydride
If you want to know whether there is sulfide hydride in the material, the ancient sages have a way to try it.
Prepare a purifier first, take a little of the material you want to test, and put it in it. Reinject with an appropriate amount of acid, the acid should be mild and can be mixed with the sulfide.
After a while, if there is a smell of rotten eggs gradually coming out, this is the sign of sulfide. When the sulfide encounters acid, it often produces hydrogen sulfide gas, which smells bad and smells like rotten eggs.
Or take a filter paper strip, soak it in lead acetate solution, and then hang it on the mouth of the container. If the paper gradually turns black, it is proved that the material contains sulfur hydride. When the gas of hydrogen sulfide comes into contact with lead acetate, it is synthesized into lead sulfide, and its color is black, so when the paper turns black, it is known that sulfur hydride exists.
Both of these are good methods for detecting sulfur hydride, which are quite helpful for identifying the quality of objects.
