HydrogenPeroxide PoppedPimple TurnedWhite

On the phenomenon that hydrogen peroxide is used to turn white after crushing acne
Recently, hydrogen peroxide is applied to crushed acne, and the color turns white immediately. The reason for this should be investigated carefully.

For hydrogen peroxide, the chemical name is hydrogen peroxide, which has strong oxidative properties. If the acne is broken, the skin barrier is damaged and the tissue is exposed. When the hydrogen peroxide encounters it, an oxidative reaction occurs quickly with the organic matter in it. On the surface of the skin, this reaction promotes protein denaturation, resulting in a white color.

However, the advantages and disadvantages of applying hydrogen peroxide to broken acne coexist. The advantages are that its strong oxidative properties can sterilize and disinfect and reduce the risk of acne infection. For acne-causing bacteria such as Propionibacterium acne, it has the power to inhibit killing, prevent the spread of inflammation, and help wound healing.

The disadvantages are also clear. Hydrogen peroxide has strong oxidation, or hurts normal skin tissue. If the concentration is improper, especially high concentrations, it can cause skin redness, swelling, tingling, and even scarring. And overuse may destroy the microecological balance of the skin and damage the skin's ability to repair itself.

Therefore, use hydrogen peroxide on squeezed acne with caution. Cleanse the skin with water first, then wipe it lightly with an appropriate amount of dilute hydrogen peroxide, and wash it off with water after a while. If the skin is sensitive, try it on a small area first, and it can be used on acne without discomfort. If there is any abnormality such as pain and itching after use, seek medical attention immediately.

All skin care measures should be based on science, weigh the pros and cons, and proceed cautiously in order to achieve the purpose of skin care and avoid the risk of skin damage.
