Prepare a measuring device, such as a measuring cylinder, to ensure accuracy. In mathematical terms, it is necessary to take the volume of thirty concentrations of hydrogen peroxide as\ (V_1\), and the total volume of three concentrations of hydrogen peroxide to be prepared is\ (V_2\). The amount of solute before and after dilution of the solution remains unchanged, and the formula can be obtained:\ (30\%\ times V_1 = 3\%\ times V_2\), then\ (V_1 =\ frac {3\%} {30\%} V_2 =\ frac {1} {10} V_2\).
If a certain amount of three-concentration hydrogen peroxide is to be prepared, the volume of the thirty-concentration hydrogen peroxide is taken as one-tenth of the final volume.
Take an appropriate amount of clean container, first pour the thirty-concentration hydrogen peroxide of the calculated volume into it slowly, then add it dropwise with distilled water, and gently stir with a glass rod to mix the two thoroughly. Add water to the predetermined total volume\ (V_2\), so that three concentrations of hydrogen peroxide are formed.
