Making Dog Vomit Hydrogen Peroxide

The method of causing dogs to vomit with hydrogen peroxide
Dogs eat poisons by mistake. If you want to make them vomit, you can use the method of hydrogen peroxide. However, this technique should be performed with caution.

Hydrogen peroxide is highly oxidizing, and it is crucial to use accurate dosage when leading dogs to vomit. Generally speaking, a teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide at a concentration of 3% can be used for every five-pound dog. Use a syringe or dropper to slowly inject it into the back of the dog's mouth to prevent it from choking.

After injecting the medicine, it is recommended to gently rub the abdomen of the dog to help its gastrointestinal peristalsis and promote the effect of hydrogen peroxide. Generally, the dog will have a vomiting reaction after a while. If you haven't vomited for more than 15 minutes, you can add an appropriate amount of hydrogen peroxide, but the total amount must not exceed one milliliter per pound of body weight.

However, it should also be noted that this method is not suitable for all situations. If a dog eats strong acids, alkalis or sharp foreign bodies by mistake, vomiting can cause secondary damage to the esophagus and throat. And improper use of hydrogen peroxide may cause the dog to have stomach swelling, gas swelling, and even cause more serious adverse reactions.

Therefore, in case of dog ingestion, if conditions permit, it is advisable to bring the dog to the doctor as soon as possible, and the veterinarian will judge and perform surgery. When you have to induce vomiting by yourself, follow the above methods to ensure the safety of the dog.
