Mixing Hydrogen Peroxide and Epsom Salt

Nowadays, there is a method to mix hydrogen peroxide with epsom salts. Hydrogen peroxide has strong oxidizing properties and can be used for disinfection and bleaching. Epsom salts, chemically called magnesium sulfate, are commonly found in medicine, beauty and other fields.

When mixing the two, be careful to observe their changes. There may be a chemical reaction, but the intensity of the reaction and the formation of the product depend on many factors such as the ratio of the two, the temperature of the reaction and the environment.

When mixing, it should be served in a vessel, poured in slowly, and stirred while inverting, so that the two are evenly mixed. During this process, the escape of bubbles or the rise and fall of the temperature are all characteristics of the reaction.

The mixture formed may have different characteristics. It can be used in special cleaning scenarios, or it can be helpful in gardening. However, the specific effect needs to be tested and verified by many parties.

Be sure to pay attention to safety when acting. Hydrogen peroxide is corrosive. Although epsom salts are milder, the product of mixing the two is unknown. Do not rashly contact the skin, mouth and nose. If accidentally touched, rinse with water as soon as possible and seek medical attention if necessary.
