Physical Characteristics of Hydrogen

Hydrogen, a colorless and odorless gas, is lighter than all gases and is the lightest thing. It is light in weight, so it can float in the air. It often exists in water, organic matter and other substances.

The boiling point of hydrogen is extremely low, about minus 259 degrees Celsius. It is easy to condense into a liquid when cold. The color is light blue, and its liquid density is very small. The melting point is also low, near the boiling point.

This gas is insoluble in water, and the amount of hydrogen dissolved in water is very small at room temperature and pressure. And it has good thermal conductivity, and its thermal conductivity is faster than that of other gases. Hydrogen is stable under normal conditions, but under suitable conditions, such as high temperature, open flame or catalyst, it can participate in many chemical reactions and exhibit reactivity.
